Look at the map. SE Asia is pretty warm near the equator. There are a few cases in Australia now... they are in the midst of summer now.

I laughed at that comment too.

Africans are incredibly well traveled. Try finding a Sub Saharan African that speaks less than 3 or 4 languages.

Hopefully most of these people caught it in China and brought it back as opposed to getting infected in SE Asia or Australia.

I suppose there could be something in our DNA that would make us more or less susceptible to any given virus so in that way race could play a difference. I'm not going to count on that though.
