They were already working with a coronavirus that is almost the same....which causes a bronchial disease affecting poultry...and uses the same infection mechanism
..they say with a few minor adjustments...they can adjust the system to the new sequence

Israeli scientists: 'In a few weeks, we will have coronavirus vaccine'

Once the vaccine is developed, it will take at least 90 days to complete the regulatory process and potentially more to enter the marketplace.

Israeli scientists are on the cusp of developing the first vaccine against the novel coronavirus, according to Science and Technology Minister Ofir Akunis. If all goes as planned, the vaccine could be ready within a few weeks and available in 90 days, according to a release.

Probably a good thing that trump is friendly with them on behalf of the American people.
We may need their help.
After the horrible things democrats have said about Israel, I doubt a democrat administration could expect any cooperation from them.
Why are democrats so clueless and socially retarded?

Great prediction, I’m going to wait on this. They just found a vaccine for Ebola yet they predict a few months. They are going to develop a cure and pass the regulatory process in the US in 90 days, this I have to see.

There are several companies working on a vaccine in the US, claims of a vaccine in a few weeks is overly optimistic.

Under "vaccine research" on wikipedia here...

The U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) is hoping for human trials of a vaccine by April 2020.[133][134] The Norwegian Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) is funding three vaccine projects and hopes to have a vaccine in trials by June 2020, and approved and ready in a year.[135

..."ready in a year" meaning vaccine by June 2021!? That is a LONG time to wait!

If a threshold percentage of people in a population are successfully vaccinated against a disease, a "herd immunity" may be achieved that would protect many, even though they didn't get the vaccine as individuals.
