NY deaths are undercounted. Cuomo pressured people to cover up deaths in nursing homes, and the media went with it since they needed some anti-Trump like figure. There is no reason that New Jersey has a higher death rate than NYS when it was NYC where the virus exploded and infected NJ by collateral damage.
As for Florida, we're over our third wave. It was worse than the first two waves, even though we had >50% people vaccinated. Miami-Dade is one of the highest vaccinated counties in the USA, yet it didn't prevent us from experiencing a surge comparable to summer 2020 when no one was vaccinated.
The vaccines have not worked in controlling surges, it's time to try other things instead of pushing forward with mandates.

Much of what he said rang so true especially the part about people fearing covid so much they thought they were going to die if they caught it and pressured governments to impose lockdowns.
I see that. People are running to get that third shot (not even waiting for Moderna/J&J to be approved) as if their life was in danger if they didn't get it NOW and TODAY.

It's so unusual to hear a competent and honest government official!
It's never been a conspiracy or depopulation or anything like that. It's unwarranted public fear (look at the responses to the poll I put up!), government corruption/incompetence, and business opportunism.
If I were Pfizer, I'd sell people as many jabs as they can take. And all the politicians are getting their cut.
If you’re coming from the USA ( high risk country)and wish to visit Austria in 2022 without a ten day quarantine on arrival, you may very well need a third shot since border control only considers a vaccine to be valid for 360 days after the second shot at this point.
