Boosters every four months! Talk about messing up a human being’s immune system! Keep sticking your body with spike proteins every four months and see how that works for ya.

BTW, vaccination rates have increased since June.

Reported Sept. 1st:

“Nearly 14 million Americans got their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine in August, a steep rise from July, White House officials said Tuesday.

"Back in mid-July, we were averaging 500,000 vaccinations per day. Today, we're averaging 900,000," Zients added. "That's an 80 percent increase in the number of shots we're getting into arms each and every day."

Reported Sept. 28th:

“ As the U.S. continues to grapple with the “third wave” of the COVID-19 pandemic, the latest KFF COVID-19 Vaccine Monitor finds that more than seven in ten U.S. adults (72%) now report being at least partially vaccinated, with the surge in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths due to the Delta variant being the main motivator for the recently vaccinated and other factors like full FDA approval of the Pfizer vaccine and an increase in vaccine mandates playing a more minor role. The largest increases in vaccine uptake between July and September were among Hispanic adults and those ages 18-29, and similar shares of adults now report being vaccinated across racial and ethnic groups (71% of White adults, 70% of Black adults, and 73% of Hispanic adults).”

I was unclear I see. Yes, vaccinations rose from ~ July 5th to Aug 30, and again from Sep 24th.

But our vaccinations were > "today's level" from mid-January all the way through the mid-June date I noted.

I don't know that it's reported that way. You've got to dig and cross-reference to get that info. The CDC has a running total of vaxxed hospitalizations and deaths, but I haven't seen any "just now" report.

Clearly, based on the total # of breakthrough hospitalizations/deaths, it's much lower for the vaxxed. But also clearly the vax isn't working well enough for old people (69% of breakthrough hospitalizations, 86% of deaths)

This is the Covid thread, not the vaccine thread though.

But during that time of the initial vaccine rollout (especially Jan-Apr) overall percentage vaccinated was quite low, but it showed that sharp uptake in vaccinations correlates strongly to a drop.

I believe that our second wave of uptake which has occurred in the late summer after everyone got scared of Delta has been partly responsible for the decline we are seeing now.

The CDC tells us 99% are unvaccinated. Do you think that has changed or something ?

Wow something I heard on the news....during the last 12 months (2020) that Trump was in office there were 352K deaths related to the Wuhan virus but now after only 9 months that Biden has been in office there has been 353K deaths related to the virus.
The liberals/progressive spent all of 2020 blaming Trump for the large amount of virus deaths but seem not interested in the deaths under Biden....why is that?

Biden’s flaw was that he was reluctant to tell the states what to do early on and some states like Florida chose to do as little as possible.

Florida deaths during the delta surge- 17K+

New York deaths during delta- about 1700 despite chaos in the governor’s mansion.

It took a lot of poor ‘leadership’ from Republican-governed states before Biden finally had his ‘grandpa’s gonna stop the car’ moment and started putting hard federal pressure on vaccination goals.

A mandate implemented too soon could be counterproductive by hardening resistance and turning away some who might voluntarily get vaccinated.

you didn't hear that on any "news".

by the literal determination of "Who was President?", that runs to Jan 20, 2021, which would be ~ 430K. Not that either POTUS was or is responsible. It's the CDC/FDA's responsibility. And zero deaths was never attainable.

the best comparisons would be UK or Germany.
