So, the infections are about a third of the U.S. population. As you hop off to church (like my elderly neighbors just did), jump on light rail, or rush to Walmart - let that sink in. We need to slow this down so as to not overload the hospitals. Avoid large crowds, work from home if you can and the elderly need to stay inside.
Good thing we have such an honest and forthcoming POTUS

The White House overruled health officials who wanted to recommend that elderly and physically fragile Americans be advised not to fly on commercial airlines because of the new coronavirus, a federal official told The Associated Press.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention submitted the plan this week as a way of trying to control the virus, but White House officials ordered the air travel recommendation be removed, said the official who had direct knowledge of the plan. Trump administration officials have since suggested certain people should consider not traveling, but they have stopped short of the stronger guidance sought by the CDC.

There's the dramatic hyperbole again. Nullifies ANY benefit? The user might not touch the contaminated part. The user might wash their hands afterwards.

Honest to God I'm sick of anonymous sources. The majority of stories which have been based on nameless/faceless sources, have been eventually proven false.

I'm not really sure. I haven't been listening to Trump for guidance on how to deal with coronavirus. Are all these seniors senile? They can watch and read about coronovirus news 24/7 for two months but need Trump to tell them what to do?

Exactly. That's what's been happening for three-plus years.

That, and the fact that China exacerbated their own problem by not addressing the situation and doing anything about it ahead of time.

The job of a leader is to.......... lead.

The problem is he is saying different things than the CDC and our other experts. And his die hard fans are listening to TRUMP not the experts.

I'm find with that, you can't help some people.

Basically, YOU just said you're stupid if you listen to the President.

Dr. Fauci advised seniors and people at risk not to go on cruises or fly and to avoid crowds.

Thanks for the link.

The fatality rate for the flu is what ... like .2%?

Covid 19 looks like, worst case scenario, to be .5%?

Not nearly those crazy 3.4% numbers that the media is hyping.

Again, the way these numbers are being reported makes it sound like doomsday. It's not.

The corporate and government media is downplaying it.
It is about the money and short term consequences.
Our country and most people never consider the longterm consequences of anything in this nation.
Only quarterly earnings and day to day outlook.

It is people outside the corporate media and government on social media that see through the BS.
