So what is a payroll tax cut supposed to do? People are afraid to go out and spend money and will soon be advised not to. Having a couple bucks more in your pocket won't change that. This is not an economic issue.

It's like a bad flu. There's no need to panic if you're not 65 y/o+, have a compromised immune system, or are a heavy smoker.

The whole point of this intentional hysteria is to cause an economic issue. That's pretty evident.

Or have any of those people in your life... Taking precautions yourself to help protect them isn't a big ask.

Grocery and medicine delivery is widespread now. And they've developed no contact options(just leave at the door).

It is not reassuring since almost all of us either are in this group, or have direct relatives/coworkers that fall into this group.

My 86 yo mother is now in Florida and will have to fly soon back to Michigan. Telling me this is no big deal doesn't fly.
