Democratic candidates are using this in their political ads against Trump. So yes, they are politicizing it.
No diff than Republican mid term candidates did in 2014 regarding Ebola. The Ebola Truthers went into overdrive to fear monger. This ended the day after the mid terms.
As it relates to this virus, the Trump Admin deserves criticism for the inconsistent and muddled communications over the past 2 months.
Any chance that people will stop lying and trying incite panic for political purposes around this issue? When that happens, then sure.
At this point that describes both sides.

That’s it I’m getting my plague doctor mask and suit. The end is near. In a month the guy will be coming by with his cart calling “bring our your dead”.

When there were coronavirus threads here on P & C about a month ago, they all got shut down and locked and were were told to move it on over to another board.
Apparently, as long as we keep this political, we can stay open for business.

He didn't have a choice, did he? It's either get solemn and serious and quit pointing fingers or continue to look inept and ill-informed. It must have been hard for him.
