The very idea that a 18 or 19 year old knows about the world and history is somewhat far out. That's specifically why they need responsible commanders like this one to TEACH them about evil.

Your comment here does more to highlight the failure of education than anything else !!! The schools that have stopped teaching American history and world history is a disservice to current and future generations. Eagle, Globe and Anchor is on every vehicle I own. I was active duty USMC 1980-1984. I never remember seeing confederate symbols on base. I might just not remember. It would be like flying a NVA flag, German Flag or a Japanese flag, to gloat about defeated enemy. But I dont know why you would want a defeated enemy symbol as a bumper sticker.

So now we are teaching our Marines, and other fighting men that we should be afraid of symbols, flags, words, statues, etc. Great message to send.
