I have some family members that are well educated, high earning, hard working Bernie supporters. I certainly respect their opinion, even though I don't share it.

Why is that so hard for some folks to grasp?

One other is in a menial job but makes no effort to improve.

Just curious how common this is among Bernie supporters. Do most live up to the stereotypes that you'd expect to support socialism? Or do you actually know some with decent jobs that pay taxes-and support him anyway?
Despite disagreeing with your unfair stereotyping of Democratic Socialism and supporters of Mr. Sanders, I will answer your question.

The Bernie supporters I know are gainfully employed and most are over 50 years of age, although some are far younger. One is the V.P. of Marketing for a Fortune 500; one is the CFO for another Fortune 500; another is the Department Chair of Oncology at a major hospital system; another is the wife of a well-known classical musician and she herself is a prominent philanthropist; another is a professional hockey player; another is a high school Math teacher; another is a marketing director for a major bank...there are others. Although I am not a Sanders supporter we do all get along and yes we do discuss politics respectfully. The Democratic tent is a big one.

Question for you...What is your real agenda with this thread?

But most young people understand that having a life, while surviving it and enjoying it doesn't come free.

No doubt, it's an effort by conservatives to prove that Sanders supporters only amount to people who were born believing that the world owes them a living from cradle to grave.

Unless you live in a tiny bright red area and never go anywhere else, you probably have met Bernie supporters and just didn't know it.

I saw an article last week, I think on nate silver's 538 site, that said the majority of Bernie supporters earn less than $50,000 a year, are under 45 years old, and are primarily high school graduates not college grads.
In poll after poll, non-educated white people are the strongest base for Trump.

What do you make of that? a 30 point Margin...that's truly an amazing amount. Why?

Right - he raised 50 Million from broke losers last month.

This is actually a humorous thread. As usual you simply cannot square that circle - even when "conservatives" go all out and send money to some "own the libs" type of thing they can't get to 50 million in a month...and then maintain or beat it as Bernie may.

Any thinking conservative should realize many Bernie supporters are the similar types of people that brought Trump over the edge - people who know they've been screwed or sensed it....even if they HAVE a good job and a good education.

The only big difference I see is that a Bernie supporter may care a lot more about the others around them who have been screwed while the Trump supporter just knows that THEY themselves have been screwed. A generalization, for sure, but who can doubt that a Bernie support is likely more engaged civically than the typical "forgotten man or woman" who is too busy trying to make ends meet to have the time to try and make change?
