I’ve wondered about the make up of CD posters myself. I definitely lean more conservative as I’ve gotten older and moved to a blue state. There are some die hard liberals, but I would say posters views on most topics here tend to skew conservative. Many posters seem to be middle or upper middle class and fairly health-conscious for what its worth.

You will find the people you are looking for lurking and skulking in that thread.
Democratic party is not the left. It never has been. I understand an alt right thinking that because even a tiny amount of empathy that comes from a politic mouth, the right says "left" or "communist".

Not true. The left has a tradition in the world, in many countries (not USA) and is a real ideology with a real tradition. USA will never be left wing.

Bernie is just a progressive who wants to benefit the working class.

When/if Trump loses in November I predict that it will intolerable around here with all the nastiness.
Do you think he might lose? Im interested in your view

Yep. If you want to interact with younger Americans, then Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube are very popular. Also the dating apps and the video game venues.

This kind of topical interaction about politics is not what most people under, say, 30 are interested in. Pictures, videos, games, porn and potential hookup opportunities are more their speed.

And people become more conservative on the average as they get older. So there is a solid correlation between these factors.

Snapchat and youtube are for teens and people in their 20s.Im 37 and very interested about politics and nowhere near old. Most people my generation (millenials) have progressive views.

50 and over is the age in where usually people are more conservative. They grew up in a very different world.

You apparently are not paying very much attention, most of what you see if these forum now is a bunch of TDS posters(some of which I'm convinced are Russian bots that do nothing but try to troll and spread negativity)

Please tell us what the alt-right is, noe one here can seem to answer that these days as well.

Those trolls are in most threads around here trying to stir up negativity as much as they can.

This is very misleading as its exactly the opposite that start most troll threads.

I'm very liberal on social issues, tend to be fiscally moderate. Do whatever regarding sexuality, just resist the urge to pillage my wallet please.

Keep telling yourself that. It is about becoming a responsible adult. Generally when people start taking on roles and positions of greater responsibility - especially when they become parents - that inspires a practical rethinking of a great many things by most people.
