Trump reportedly hung up the phone on him, too:

What was actually said from the original source not filtered through the liars at the Business Insider. There was no "phone slamming".
No 10 sources acknowledge that there was a ‘lively’ phone conversation between President Trump and Mr Johnson when the Prime Minister made the decision to allow Huawei to provide parts of the new high-speed national telecoms network, due to be completed by 2025 – according to one version, Trump was ‘apoplectic’ – but they deny that Trump used the term ‘betrayal’ directly to Mr Johnson during the call.

Good to see, I can't stand the sight of Boris Johnson.
Looks like a wannabe celebrity, not a leader.
Trump should pull the plug on Boris Johnson permanently.

Yeah, what a wannabe celebrity. It's much better to have real celebrity as president.

White House refuses to deny Trump accused Boris Johnson of 'betrayal' in angry phone call over Huawei decision - The Independent

However Boris Johnson is in a difficult situation, he has promised fast 5G broadband buit without

Huawei this would be very difficult, and even replacing Huawei's 4G equipment would cost a lot of money and risk setting back 5G rollout.

The UK wants 5G as soon as possible, but hopes that other companies will come along in the future, indeed Boris Johnson said he would be willing to look at alternatives.

As for the Huawei decision it is believed to have bneen taken by other administrations before Boris Johnson took power and it is now to late to cancel the decision, whilst the EU has also decided to allow Huawei limited access to it's networks.

Britain has therefore compromised by only letting Huawei have access to a third of the non-core network activity and banning them from any sensitive sites whils setting up an oversight body called the Huawei Cyber Security Evaluation Centre, which will come under the remit of the National Cyber Security Centre.

It should be noted that the US is currently supplying Saudi Arabia with nuclear technology and is helping them build nuclear power plants, which sounds a lot more dangerous in terms of international security than the UK limited Huawei access.

You know the Daily Mail is a tabloid right? Good source of paparazzi pictures, not facts.

I think we are past caring about how phone conversations go at this point. No record. Have fun.

Sometimes I do love the British. "Denying that Trump used the term 'betrayal' directly to Mr. Johnson", consider just how carefully worded that is. Sir Humphrey would be proud.
