I havent log in in city data in years, and I remember this forum being extremely conservative back then. But now is like there is no other view. A quick scan to the front page and it seems there are not even moderates anymore. Back then the republicans, conservatives and alt right were the majority of the posters, but now there are all there is.
I came here in case there was any interesting discussion going on because this year are the elections and im following everything thats going on with the Democratic interns. Im from another country but I care a lot about world politics, and Im intrigued as to how someone like Bernie Sanders, who basically is one of the few american politics brave enough to dismantle the myth of the American Dream, is now a favourite. I thought "maybe American youth is changing that country for the better"

But everything continues to be conservative around here: conservative old views, the same old views repeated by the same old people since forever.

Its too bad, a real governmemt for the people could be a breakthrough for USA and therefore, the world.

So, a conservative view is what? One that you disagree with?

Please explain exactly what this view is.

We do have a government for the people, that is why millions of those from south of the US keep flooding in here every year, because the US even at its worse, still treats them better than their own country and people do.

Not all C-D posters are Republicans. I am not one and I post on the politic board a lot. There are other non-Republicans ht post there, too.

Read the coronavirus thread stickied at the top of this forum right now. It is positively infested with Democrat left trolls, doing their trolling, working as hard as they can to try to incite panic in a severely warped and twisted effort to undermine President Trump, and whatever unnecessary harm and suffering are caused to the people of our country is perfectly fine with them.

You will find the people you are looking for lurking and skulking in that thread.

The other democrats are all conservatives, maybe not as insane as Trump, but not very different in views.

The only real progressive is Sanders. He is not a communist, extreme left wing or a socialist. He is just not an extreme right wing lunatic, like most USA politics have been since forever.

The majority of the posters here lean to the right and to conservatism.
Apparently here I'm a America hating communist who wants open borders and free everything.

I am a non-Republican, I'm a Conservative-Libertarian mix. I side with Republicans over Democrats on most fiscal issues, but side with Democrats on many Social issues.

I never side with Socialists though, or anything that even comes close to that.

I would never move from Argentina to Venezuela or Cuba....would you?

You and Bernie are wrong.

He and his wife, both with careers in the public sector are living fat.

Real fat.

Well, young Americans are not normally posting on CD.

CD is definitely older and way more conservative than the average population.

Based on the various polls we have in POC at least, I think 60% are Republicans or Libertarians. But there are a few conservative posters here who seem to start a lot of the more provocative threads (read: trolling) and then the whole pack of them pile on so it looks like it is 90% righties around here.

When/if Trump loses in November I predict that it will intolerable around here with all the nastiness.
