more people have died from ibuprofen than weed. no one has died from weed.
If you get stoned on weed and get in a car and start driving, you have a good chance of killing someone, and/or getting killed yourself.

you can have stomach bleeding with it and you can not with weed.
Marijuana can be:
1. addictive
2. negatively affect your memory
3. the smoke from it has many of the same harmful ingredients as cigarette smoke
4. can harm lung tissue and cause lung scarring
5. creates an increased risk of psychosis
And so on, and so forth. Anybody who believes smoking marijuana is completely safe and free from side effects is not living in reality.
Some of us would prefer not getting a contact high from a bunch of stoners partying after work.
...and you can't get a "contact drunk" from somebody drinking a couple beers.

I agree. I know plenty of people suffering from marijuana addiction. It’s more insidious than alcohol as the people don’t rage like many alcoholics.
More people than ever are suffering from mental problems — throwing today’s potent marijuana into the mix can often lead to nothing beneficial.
I feel like after the dust settles on it become legalized everywhere — we will start seeing an industry dedicated to helping people stop. I’ve seen numbers that as much as 20% of people using daily qualify as having an addiction.
My intuition tells me life is best dealt with over the course of 70-100 years by making your brain in it’s natural state adapt to whatever life throws at you.
why would you assume someone will get into a car and drive?
Why would anyone assume someone would take so much Ibuprofen that their stomach would bleed?
Why would anyone assume someone will get into a car and drive after drinking several beers?

many people smoke and would never drive after.
And some do.
