I don't hold that position, but I can appreciate it. 100% fact of what, though? Neither the United States federal government nor most states require someone to have done the killing himself to be eligible for the death penalty. Would you support it if there is 100% fact that someone was involved in the planning of a death? Or 100% fact that someone is guilty of treason? Or do you think there has to be 100% fact that someone has actually committed a murder himself?

I don't like the application of the death penalty but I like having it available.

Given everybody the chance to plea to life in prison instead if they come clean.
Then if it goes to trial then evidence much be extremely strong.

That way nobody gets wrongfully cooked and you still have a means of getting closure via plea deal.

Otherwise, look at the Green River serial killer. If there is no threat of death penalty, what do you do there?

he was an accomplice to killing 3 cops, the USSC won't spend much time with this.

I agree that I think they will lift the stay but I think they may hold the case until they are done deciding the similar case before them.

Glad that I was wrong! The Supreme Court Has Lifted its stay of execution. The governor of Alabama has denied clemency. The execution can proceed and closure for the police officers' family can be had.

Default Supreme Court denies stay of execution for Alabama inmate Nathaniel Woods

Never understood why so many people give these murders so much support and nothing is said much about the victims of the crime. In this case the 3 police officers were shot and killed with a SKS semi-auto rifle.

While the news media mentions their names nothing much about the loss those families suffered. Mr Woods was selling crack cocaine with his partner who says he did the shooting. These two guys took the risk of selling illegal drugs wanted to be gangsters.

Just curious but why was Woods executed before the guy who actually shot the cops? I know they were both on death row.

I don't know much about the case but apparently the guy who actually shot the cops is saying he acted alone & Woods had no idea he was going to do that. While that might be true I'm not going to believe some guy who killed three humans. So if the only thing that is in debate is whether Woods really was involved or not I can't take that side. Because if I do I'm going to believe a guy who killed 3 other innocent humans & destroyed 3 families.
