Not even during World War II when the Luftwaffe was bombing London did the royal family leave buckingham palace. The greatest generation must be rolling in their graves to see what cowards our society has become.

The Queen is nearly 94 years old, so it's hardly surprising, and the Royals that syayed in London during WW2 were far younger than the Queen is today.

In February 1945, Elizabeth had turned 18. At her own insistence, ashe joined the Auxiliary Territorial Service as a subaltern and trained as a truck mechanic and driver.

By the end of the war later that year, Elizabeth had reached the rank of junior commander. To this day, she is the only female member of the royal family to have served in the military.

The Queen is also the last remaining head of state to have served during World War II.

So hardly a snowflake and I doubt the Royals were shaking lots of hands at the height of the influenza outbreaks in 1918 (Spanish Flu) and 1957/58 (Asian Flu).

It is also expected that some other younger Royals will remain in London.

Bob Iger has suddenly left Disney. Bill Gates has suddenly left the board of Microsoft.

If, here in the 21st C, following the advice of educated public health officials, science and medical experts, epidemiologists and virologists is the definition of a snowflake, then there are many civic minded and intelligent snowflakes in this world.

Heartening!

Let it snow...perhaps that will slow the spread of this virulent and real disease.

He handed over the responsibility of being CEO to Bob Chapek, but Iger will continue to be the Executive Chairman of Disney for another 21 1/2 months.

Yep. Both Elizabeth and Charles are in the most vulnerable demographic.

Dunno about Charles, but Elizabeth is a tough and wily head of state. At this point in hr life, I doubt that much frightens her.

Well the Queen is ancient and more at risk so who can blame her. The virus has more of a chance of sneaking in and getting her than the Nazi's ever did with a V2.

This is the dumbest post I have seen yet. That’s saying a lot for the OP.
