I've been paying into that for many years. Why should someone just walking in, having paid nothing, get the same good price I do? They need to either have paid for it into the system, or start them higher in premiums. For those that have newly came on, a system should base their individual price based on their past payment history.

That's like a junior apprentice expecting the same wages as a Level III Engineer that has been with the company 20 years.

Lol, you just realized that medicare pays less than private insurance? Yes, that's the way to save money. 20% of GDP and growing spent on healthcare is unsustainable.

If you think our healthcare today is "Free Market", you are delusional! It is nothing but totally corrupt with Big Pharma, the AMA, the lawyers, and the big hospital conglomerates lining our lawmakers pockets to protect their interests.
As corrupt as our system is, I'm ready to try something different.

Some people are not worth arguing with. They are generally the ones who don't have the facts and/or cannot think for themselves.

I think the OP asked a very good question. So far, we have some very good answers.

Slavery in another name. Simply forcing other people at gunpoint to pay for your healthcare.

Wonderful idea!

As long as those at “gunpoint” are rich CEOs, I can care less...
