Just raid the local police department and DA's pension fund and cut him a nice settlement check. No need to make the taxpayers pay for their mistake. When current retired officers see their pension and benefits reduced and current cops see their pensions will be reduced to pay for idiot officers, they'll weed out the bad apples and stop protecting them.
New Jersey is a very backwards state and its lawmakers and politicians ride the short bus and wear helmets. Philadelphia is the same.

Citizens of NJ need to help him out...law enforcement has violated his Constitutional rights on US soil....Americans WILL NOT tolerate that kind of behavior!
