No one who has an understanding of numbers denies that the mortality rate is somewhere in the range of 1%.

The problem is that probably no more than 5% of the U.S. population has had it yet (based on antibody tests) and we would need to hit 70% before herd immunity kicks in. Meaning you can take the current death rate and multiply it by around 14 to determine the ultimate casualty rate (absent a vaccine or better treatment options) from COVID-19.

That mortality rate has been argued here by many.

I recently read somewhere that people under age 25 have a greater chance of being struck by lightning than dying of coronavirus.

Many are still scared to death, and let’s not forget about the political agenda to try to keep most everything locked down. Wolf will try to do that until the election if he can.

Funny how the riots have made the virus all but insignificant.

Mortality rate is way less than 1%. it's between 0.1 and 0.2. like flu, best estimates (because they don't widely test for flu). and this is even when they attribute every person WITH it to die FROM it (not likely, many die from pneumonia). Its a freakin chest cold. thats what a corona virus is. it might be harsher than most, but that's what it is. deal. they sold this one with a trademark of fear. the most overhyped thing in world history.

Well a ton of people are taking precautions and we still have over 118,000 deaths in the US alone and over 400,000 worldwide. Lets compare that to the flu.

The World Health Organization estimates that worldwide, annual influenza epidemics result in about 3-5 million cases of severe illness and about 250,000 to 500,000 deaths.

I am not sure what to think. Are all these masks working? We have massive gatherings with these riots/protests everywhere that keep going and going, so if we don't spike from that, I might start wondering if this is just a more contagious version of the flu as far as death rate goes. We haven't even topped the big 500,000 number with this virus, but we have a ways to go for a complete year. My gut says this is worse than the flu as far as the contagious aspect, but not more deadly if you get it. Just seems to spread easier.

In rural areas people aren't wearing masks much. I noticed that on my way up to Erie and I stopped by some places up that way. No one wearing a mask and I looked out of place. Many protesters aren't wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly with their noses hanging out or even on their chines. They are also very close to one and other yelling a lot with certainly can't be good. No spike from all that, maybe this thing isn't much more than a flu.
