For all that you guys talk about "Trump derangement syndrome" you're the ones still repeatedly bringing him up in a thread about Coronavirus.

You must’ve missed some of posts by posters that aren’t in favor of him that are still repeatedly bringing him up, but even so, their posts are interesting.

The hate filled right pukes the same tired comments here all day and almost immediately after any comment calling them out. Just like trump, they are juvenile and petty.

The only thing that the right does more than hate is engage in conspiracy theories. The vaccine is a great example. Apparently every company involved colluded to wait until after the election to announce the vaccine, as if announcing it sooner (or now) is the same as actually getting vaccinated.

People should applaud that it's far along and it should be well under way in 2021, saving many lives.
Imagine how many lives that could have been saved if the president gave a s h i t and also didn't mock basic measures to curtal the spread.
I don’t recall anyone saying they’re not happy, just that it’s an amazing coincidence of the vaccine timing. I’m greatly looking forward to seeing it working.

Imagine how many lives that could’ve been saved if we had an expert immunologist that knew what they were talking about as soon as the virus entered the country.

FWIW, I actually believe you're probably right that the drug companies held off the vaccine news on purpose. It's a tough call to make, because either way you'd make a decision which would be hugely influential on the election. I can see why there was a bias to inaction.

And as many predicted, it certainly looks like the virus will soon be over after the election, especially with more companies now claiming vaccines.

Depends upon what you mean by "soon."

We're talking about what - three weeks minimum before the first people might be able to get the vaccine? But we know the first doses are going to go to hospital workers. Might be February before we start having capacity for mass vaccination of the elderly and medically fragile, and a good deal longer before we have enough doses for the general population.

I still think late spring to early summer is the best estimate of when things may be "back to normal."

That’s certainly sooner than later. Had the election been sooner, it would’ve likely been even sooner yet.

Surprisingly, especially since the right has a history of being blamed for hate and violence, the left have taken over as the violent party, rioting in cities, stopping cars and dragging people out, beating someone just for wearing a Trump hat, etc. Hell, the police were kicked out of their own city that they're supposed to protect. ANd what does the media do? They show 3 seconds of this and move on to bashing not only Trump but anyone that has anything to do with Trump-it's the new McCarthyism. Granted, the media tries like hell to find any violence on the right, even if it's just 3 drunk, fat white guys with bad beards, carrying flags and shouting some kind of racial hatred, which makes them look even more pathetic and they put this on the front page with "Right wing militia terrorises town."

Seriously and be honest with yourself and Imagine if the tables were turned and instead of antifa and related radical groups, those we've actually seen terrorizing people, burning cities, using physical violence and intimidation were right wing..........You'd hear calls for the Marines to come in, to shoot on sight, the world would be coming to an end, we'd have breaking news every 30 seconds and 59 minutes out of every hour would be dedicated to the videos with headlines like "Right Wing Hate Groups Threaten Society" or " No End in Sight to the Right Wing Violence" etc. It would never end. This would overshadow 911, the Corona Virus, Vietnam.....Imagine the glee in the expressions of news anchors dying to report this...

Bingo

I’m waiting to see what happens when those begging the most for police and military defunding, are in need of someone to protect them.

One of the many example of people who need regular healthcare not getting quality and timely healthcare because of an huge overreaction by certain government officials.

People with chronic health conditions are not getting to see their doctors like they should. There are people with high blood pressure who have not had their blood pressure taken by a doctor in 10 months.
