I remember reading a doctor's blog a few weeks back that said everyone will most likely know someone who dies from this. I sincerely hope that's not the case for you. Best wishes to your sister and her family. Hopefully she's one of the lucky ones.

How is Trump still not racist after calling Covid-19/CoronaVirus, the Chinese virus?

Reality has not fully set in for people still. Not until it personally affect them

He doesn't directly answer the questions either.

Anyone can be a "leader" when things go well. The ability to lead during a crisis is what defines a true leader.

"Asian Americans, and particularly Chinese Americans, have already been dealing with an increase in racism and discrimination due to the coronavirus, including attacks and public confrontations."

Seriously? People need to get a grip.

A virus is a phenomena of nature much like an earthquake, a tornado, or cancer. A virus knows no political boundaries or race. It shows up when environmental conditions are favorable and it could be in anyone's back yard. Many times they seem to evolve in one species of animal that may develop immunity. Then the virus evolves or mutates and jumps species to one that may not be immune. There are hundreds of types of virus. Many live in the ocean. How they evolve and propagate varies and none of it has the first thing to do political boundaries. Anyone confronting, attacking or blaming Asians for this virus needs to be charged with a hate crime.

Good question: Why are the rich and famous getting tests when they don't even have symptoms? Trump: the system is obsolete. Huh?

Some wealthy individuals have attempted to cut in line and buy respirators directly from manufacturers ahead of all the hospitals awaiting them. Happily, thus far, at least one manufacturer is telling them to pound sand. It seems for the moment, at least, money can't buy you everything after all.

The media harping on him about the Chinese virus thing is ridiculous, but he could have at least said: "Anyone who harms a person based on their ethnicity will be prosecuted, and is an idiot. the virus originated in China, it is not the fault of Chinese Americans or people of Chinese decent who live here."

Anybody still have any of those dog treats that were imported from China that were killing dogs here in the US a few years ago? I'd love to see if they can test the "meat" and see if it's actually bat meat. I've never quite understood how China was able to export "meat" dog treats in mass quantity to the US while not actually being able to adequately supply their own people with food.
