Ohio has a Republican governor and a heavily Republican legislature. It hasn't done the "shelter in place" yet but was one of the first states to do numerous measures we've seen throughout the country (closing sporting events, closing schools, etc).

Do you have a link? Surely you know that one day ago:
"The total number of mobile customers was 950 million, representing a net addition of 25.21 million, China Mobile said. The total number of wireline broadband customers was 187 million, representing a net addition of 30.35 million"

Useless to speculate - we have enough going on here. But please provide multiple links to China Mobile themselves telling investors about the "lost" subscribers.

I think we can put some faith in the curves in SK and Japan.
Between Jan and Feb they LOST 8 million subscribers

FWIW there are some pictures of Wuhan circulating..nighttime pictures that show 90% of the buildings with no lights. Guess those must be the off grid folks who gave up their phones ?

There is nothing authoritarian about closing schools and sporting events.

It's called being pro-active, the opposite of Trump.

Gov. Pritzker has impressed me with his leadership during all this. Trump? Not so much.

Let's look it up.....

35% more male smokers than female. I suspect they smoke more units also.

Could be part of the puzzle - probably is. Add that to the lower life span of males (so their bio age is higher) and that's probably the difference.

Yes, and leadership stepped up to assure the public. God love him, even Bush 43 showed calm leadership in the face of unbelievable disaster.

All he has to do is tell the truth, don't blame, don't deflect. But he is incapable of any of that.

That's more like it. Even Pence is more presidential than the president.

Bullcrap. Americans aren't stupid (well, most of them aren't ... ). They know when they're being lied to. They know when the president can't stay on topic. They know when fingers are being pointed illogically.

Spain now getting on the pain wagon.

They are turning a big conference hall into a makeshift field hospital.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-h...siness+News%29
Spain’s worst single-day death toll yet brought the country’s total fatalities above 1,000.

Some 5,500 hospital beds, including intensive care units, will be set up inside the 240,000 square meter IFEMA conference center on the capital’s outskirts to cope with surging demand expected in the coming days, the Madrid region said in a tweet.
