WTH was Rand "traveling extensively" during a time that the CDC recommended no non-essential travel? And Rand is a doctor! Who knows how many Rand infected during his extensive travel escapades!
I wonder how many people in the US have had the virus and are now over it. This is not the extinction event that the Chinese-protector media would have you believe.
I'm still not worried about the virus, but I am avoiding social situations at this time. Don't worry, we'll be back to listening to shrill shrieks about the approaching climate apocalypse in no time. Notice these conversations have been moved to the back of the bus.
Same here. Statistics don't lie. I'm more afraid of contracting the flu right now than I am Corona. 29,000 infections and only 378 deaths over a 3-month period? According to an article I read we'll be in much greater danger come Nov/Dec. if this thing reemerges in the cold months like what happened during the 1918 Spanish flu outbreak in spring of 1918. It was the second wave in winter 1918 that decimated the world.
Trump outbid governors on coronavirus supplies after telling them to buy their own
Combine that kind of policy with Trump's pursuit of revenge for his political critics and we have a recipe for disaster. Conservatives in blue states might want to think about Trump's need to punish his political opponents and need to 'win'.

These attempts to paint the virus as some foreign (scary!) enemy are pointless. It's been here for months and it's here to stay, and it's going to infect several times more people on our soil than in China. Why was the USA sitting on its hands, relying on the competency of other governments to protect us from pandemics in the first place???
You should hold your elected officials accountable for our government's inadequate response. The virus outbreak was not inevitable. South Korea and Singapore took it down. What happened is the American government is bad. Plain and simple. We did bad. Trump did bad. Obama appointees did bad. Now we have this mess of states and the feds each having their own conflicting and competing virus response that's going to get more people killed and continue the economic damage. Our government could not handle this. The response could improve, but we've failed so far.
NY state surpasses France and South Korea in volume of COVID-19 cases
15,168 on Sunday afternoon.
And moreover is said to be testing more per capita than any country on Earth:
"“New York is testing more people than any state in the country and, per capita, more than any country in the globe,” Cuomo said, adding that the state has tested 61,000 people. Roughly 15,000 of those tests are new, identifying 4,800 new cases in the last day, he said."
And simultaneously the state of NY's mortality rate is strikingly low in comparison with those.
