Have to give him credit for doing a 180. Of course someone else wrote the speech but at least what he said was serious instead of joking around about it and how it's nothing to worry about. He did sound horrible though, like he could barely catch his breath. And I like how he said we are all in this together--that's American instead of dividing us apart like he usually does.

Substantive address which is what matters.

Style points are immaterial.

The EU ban is the perfect antidote to the threat.

That infuriated me!! He starts by calling this a hoax from the Democrats. Here we are with a pandemic and he is telling the partisanship has to stop? How anybody is a fan of his or supports him I just don’t get it.

Sounded like he’s senile and in poor health.

Let's ALL hope the response to this pandemic is more effective and costs fewer American lives than the response in '09 did.

At least the economy couldn't go much worse when H1N1 hit given that it was already in the crapper.
H1N1 wasn't an election year. It was month 3 of Obama's White House. Trump is in year 4 and H1N1 didn't start in an economic power.

"We are all in this together. We must put politics aside, stop the partisanship, and unify together as one nation and one family. As history has proven time and time again, Americans always rise to the challenge and overcome adversity." ..... President Trump

This is a financial crisis initiated by a health crisis.

You don't offer up government hand outs without there being financial crisis.
I'm not at all surprised. Trump is trying to play Bush in 2001 and again in 2008 when he tried to encourage economic growth. The problem is he is also wanting airlines to take an additional hit when they are looking at high cancellations.

Investors don't like his speech but it isn't about them.
