I just hope Trump's web site doesn't suffer from "failure to launch" like Obamacare's.

At least Trump went to American's in Silicon Valley 1st, rather than outsourcing the web site to his wife's college pal in another Country (Canada) like Obama did, costing Americans $840,000,000!
So, why do you think Trump lied about this?

You might want to read up on that one. The war effort and keeping up morale was more important then the lives and safety of American citizens.
The US response to this pandemic is very similar to when the Spanish Flu hit US shores.

Quote:
In the United States, the disease was first observed in Haskell County, Kansas, in January 1918, prompting local doctor Loring Miner to warn the US Public Health Service's academic journal. On 4 March 1918, company cook Albert Gitchell, from Haskell County, reported sick at Fort Riley, a US military facility that at the time was training American troops during World War I, making him the first recorded victim of the flu.[42][43][44] Within days, 522 men at the camp had reported sick.[45] By 11 March 1918, the virus had reached Queens, New York.[41] Failure to take preventive measures in March/April was later criticised.[46]
Sound similar

I know all about the flu epidemic of 1918 right down to the specifics of its evolution, the way it infected and exploited host cells, how it attacked the cells of the patient, and the disease it caused.

Ebola and the Swine Flu was contained here in the US by swift and decisive action of previous presidents.

The press intentionally downplayed the severity of Spanish Flu for propaganda purposes during WW1. I find it interesting that many right wingers want to do the same during the current pandemic.

It's a psychological byproduct: hysteria, fear of the unknown, and extreme anxiety/ the feeling of not having control results in a behavior such as hoarding TP despite the fact it makes no logical sense.

Oh Puh-leeeease...You were all blaming Bush for EVERYTHING for how many years into Obama's darkest years? Your memory is mush, like Joe Biden's.

Previous presidents actually cared about the people. This president has absolutely no empathy for anyone outside of himself. He simply doesn't care how many die except for how they will impact his reelection. Have we ever had a president who so blatantly shows he doesn't give a damn about any of us? I can't recall one so callous and self-centered as this one.

This is darkly funny. Because you're copying Trump's MO - just change the subject, redirect the narrative, show the audience something new and shiny and scandalous, and the bad news of last week will be buried under the BS of this week. Gish Gallop on a national scale.

It worked great for 3 years. But now Trump - and you - are facing the reality of a crisis that refuses to be flim-flammed away. And you've got - nothing.

He - didn't, actually. Google's response was "We're doing what, now?"
