I noticed that the stock market stabilized from free fall while Gov. Cuomo is talking.

The nation needs a leader that is effective and knowledgeable about this crisis. We also need to know that our leaders are taking effective action.

And his puppets determined to show blind loyalty publicly contradicting health expert policy is everything we need to know about the competency of some of these idiots.

Somebody has to tell Trump to stop talking. Let the others do the talking...take a back seat ....

I don't like Andrew Cuomo at all and would never ever vote for him, but he and Mike DeWine are doing an exceptional job under the circumstances.

Along with the Pro-Trump media. It's irresponsibility on an unprecedented scale...I'm sorry it just is.

You just have to understand that, the news about the virus coming from across the world is all a hoax to try and tear down our great elected leader and replace him with Hillary

We need to work together as a nation to combat this. Local rules don't stop a national crisis. Mandates enforced by martial law may be necessary because too many refuse to take this seriously and thus endanger the lives of many.
There's nothing partisan about what I said, I reject authoritarianism no matter which party is pushing for it.

This is not a "declare martial law" kind of situation, it simply isn't. If you give in to authoritarian BS, you don't get your freedom back afterwards without significant bloodshed. Let's not argue for making Trump a dictator simply because people will die in this pandemic.

Oh you can run the tests ok. But anyone testing negative will have to continuously return for testing to make sure they are still negative.

And the positives ? Well at a certain point you will have too many people infected and not enough manpower to track down each and every contact.

Isolation and crowd control has to be enforced now..mandated by the government.
And this is because entitled Americans have ignored the guidelines.
You have Spring Break partiers in FL/CA saying they don't care.
You have crowded malls, airports, bars, etc.
You have an infected man in KY that won't stay in his house so they had to put an armed guard outside the door.

Italy was at our numbers 14 days ago. Look where they are today.
We are headed down that very same path unless action is taken to limit crowd gathering.

And it's being done to prevent the medical community and hospital system from becoming overwhelmed with sick people. They don't want everyone catching it at the same time.

Will the people pointing fingers and assigning blame and those comparing this to the flu go jump off a bridge.

The virus was out of China last December, but the Chinese kept it secret until New Years Eve. Yes, our government should have acted in January. I expect they will lockdown the states of WA, CA, NY, and MA this week, along with closing the major hub airports in other parts of the country to passenger traffic. The CDC has already hinted that this move may be needed.

We agree! Short term sacrifice for long term gain.
