I don't vote or pay attention to the dog & pony shows known as press briefings.
But it's important to you folks so at the very least get it up to modern standards. Trump being a tweeting-machine has set the precedent. Demand that elected officials communicate directly with the populace via social media. Why the need to have a self-serving middleman (the media) in the mix?
No to daily press briefings. The liberal press ruined their chances for that by being arrogant, obnoxious asshats. Nobody tells the truth anyway.....it's just a dog and pony show.....

Adolph Hitler was quick to adapt to the propaganda devices of his day. So what?
Its been about a year and Stephanie Grisham has yet to hold a single press briefing. The regular press briefings were a way to answer questions that the American people have on a regular basis. Guest visits to One America and Fox don't count for obvious reasons. Given the current state of affairs the people deserve regular, non 240 character answers to questions. Why are we paying for a press secretary and press office to not have a daily press availability?
Already a thread, It took the Corona Virus to get a briefing. Press conferences are by tweet or with a helicopter in the background. More rallies than press briefings.

Very simple. Trump tried to do the same thing Obama did back in the day: Kick out journalists who he didn't like because they were bugging him. Specifically Jim Acosta. Acosta sued. The federal courts told Trump, "If you're having press meetings, you can't tell Jim Acosta that he can't come."
So Trump did the obvious thing: He just said, "F-ck it! We just won't have them!"
Here's how you get them going again: Stop media outlets from being so blatantly biased against the president. The press briefings tend to treat Democrat Administrations like gods on earth and Republican Administrations like punching bags. If the media can stop being so one-sided then it might actually be in the best interests of a Republican president to actually interact with the press more.
