Again -- $1,000 per adult. It's better than nothing, but I'm not sure how much it's really going to help.

If I work at a restaurant but we are closed for the next three months due to coronavirus, $1,000 will cover SOME of my bills that first month. What about months two and three?

For the working class/service industry/blue collar Americans out there, that whole idea of "having 2-3 months of savings" is mostly a pipe dream. There are lots of hard-working people out there that struggle monthly to keep ends meet.

The money that would go to bail out the greedy, incompetent airline industry should go to the American people.

And let them go bankrupt and more people need unemployment that wouldn't be able to cover them. Gg. I was FOR the bailouts for this reason. It is in the best interest of us. That said, I do wish this time we learn and block executive pay increases and take a loan with interest.

It is actually about $500 for April 6 and another $500 in the middle of May from what I hear. Not $1,000. That isn't gonna go far enough at all. We will still struggle to make ends meet with that. It needs to be $1,000 per month until the unemployment rate hits 8%, PERIOD.

People can still go out to buy food/something to eat. Plus I know many who will use it towards their rents & insurances.

Several family members have said they will donate their money to charities. Most of them won't actually do that though.

See? You guys are already justifying why you are going to cash your socialistic checks! But you absolutely hate socialism, right? Too funny.

I apologize, it is in fact $1,000. I was wrong in that and other posts for saying it was $500. No idea where I got the $500 number from (perhaps the $500b stimulus.) That said, I still think a third at the least will be needed.

I know you're not talking about me. I've not said I was going to cash it. Thus far, I've not been impacted by this virus or the shutdown. For this reason I really don't need/want the check.

It doesn't but may as well throw out something since have all been doomed anyhow.
