Just an idea.

Trumps idea of throwing money around to everyone is beyond idiotic.

It's called "using other peoples money to buy elections".

Why do you think we would be damned if we did NOT hand out money to those who are still working as usual?

Trump team prepares rescue package of at least $800 billion

The White House aims to deploy at least $800 billion in aid in the coming weeks to prop up the U.S. economy, as retailers, restaurants, sporting events and other businesses shut down and Americans slow their spending while staying home to guard against the coronavirus pandemic.

Among the administration’s targets this week: providing relief in the form of tax deferments, loans or even direct payments to airlines, the hospitality industry and small-to-medium businesses crippled by plunging demand.

Apples and oranges.

Too bad you don't know the difference.

It is apples and oranges, because in 2009 millions of Americans had lost their jobs, and even their homes, while that is not the case now.

This time we are handing out money like candy because the government drove down the economy in a "just in case" scenario.

1. Whatever the plan ends up being will require bi-partisan support.

2. the beauracracy of who does and does not get a check would take a long time and probably cost more than just a mass cash hand out. Hopefully those that get it like myself that don't need it can share it with people that do that they know or donate to charity. I have a friend that I will likely give mine to as it would cover a month of their rent while they're out of work.

3. Not everybody gets unemployment and for many that won't be enough to keep the rent paid and the lights on.

P.S. If you think this is going to help him "buy and election" then you need to contact your congress people and tell them so. Oh wait, they're doing it too.

And that somehow makes it right in your mind........

We have Trump demanding a trillion dollars, and we have the Sec Of Treasury in Congress shrieking that there will be 20% unemployment and other horrors if they don't get the money.

The last time this happened was 2008 when the Sec-Of-T (Paulson) was in Congress screaming that if they dont get the money, there will be food riots and all kinds of unrest. As soon as they got the money (the next day), they started using it for something other than it was intended for.

Didn't say it was right or wrong. (But hey, let's go ahead and judge this before it's even passed lol)

It just makes me wonder why you consider congress part of the "Trump team" as apparently don't like it when this being bi-partisan it's pointed out....it's just Trump doing it in your narrative.

You use the term fake republicans. Which reminds me, the last time the real fiscal cons stood up to bailouts etc. they got mass labeled racists and people went to great lengths to find a bad apple in the bunch and portray them as the norm.

whatever the plan is, i just hope those registered as republicans refuse or give back the $1000. They rail against government assistance and also completely made fun of the idea when posed by Andrew Yang.

No, I do not use "fake Republicans". They are true Republicans, and a true Republican will not hesitate to ask for trillion dollars and then hand it out like candy. There is nothing like handing out other people money in an election year to make yourself look good.

I use terms "fake conservatives" and "pseudo-conservatives", because a true conservative would never support such nonsense.

When was that? Ron Paul opposed bailouts openly in 2007-08, and no one called him a racist.

If you are going to oppose things by carrying pictures of Obama dressed like an African savage with a bone though his nose, then people might call you a racist because you come across like one, not because of your stance on the issue. But then again, you already knew that.

Think about this pic. That's what its really all about.
