Martial law. Here we go again. Do we really want to see regulars in the streets shooting people out after curfew or in violation on whatever other declarations are in place? Cops empowered to do the same?

Government orders for citizens to stack arms, confiscation of private stores of food, medicine and such. And we should bear in mi d once a government has tasted the kind of power we're talking about they are very...reluctant...to give it up.

It's what politicians dream about. Were already seeing it with state governors especially in places like NY and CA. If martial law is declared here in my state I'm thinking it's a gimme I wont ever see it end.

I wont comply with martial rule. But, this virus scare could be just the excuse the politicians have been dreaming of. Not gonna say it cant happen. The Constitution has gone out the window before.

Civil War, WW1, Great Depression, WW2. 911 brought us the Patriot Act which very president since has expanded on. Obama promised to rescind it but figured out quick he really liked it. The great "hero" Lincoln was worse. Truth be known about him he was nothing but a dictator

We surely don't need or want martial law. Politicians and power. The very worst of addiction issues.

Most government offices are either closed or limiting the number of people at the counter for essential services. Ferry service to Canada has been curtailed.

In my county the very first case of the Chinese virus has appeared and that person (obviously not very bright on his part) visited a high infected area in Seattle and brought it back. When he get out of self quarantine he should be charged with 'reckless endangerment' and if he has infected some else here he should be charged for assault.

They will be mainly carriers though. They won't die, just the older people who they come into contact with.

Actually guns and ammo sales are through the roof, so you might say 'the people' have declared martial law.
