I have no idea, so far you have failed to demonstrate where gov workers are being paid and not working.

As for the question, why do the private sector employees not ask their boss?

Actually, I'm down to six rolls and not worrying about it. I didn't buy more when I was at the store (and it was available) out of fairness to others. But, thanks for assuming I'm greedy and unfair.

You say, "That is the mentality of many people." Do you mean the desire and expectation that the private sector folks have a fighting chance at surviving financially, also? THAT mentality?

How do you know they are working while at home ? Are you going to check on them ? Or maybe we should hire some people to go check on them instead ?

If people aren't working, why are they paid? Don't you think the private sector employees deserve to be paid too if they can't work? Fair is fair, right?

It's not their fault they're not working.

I agree with you.

All I am saying is that if the local, state and federal governments are going to continue to pay their employees who are at home and NOT working from home, then the government should also pay people in the private sector who have had their hours cut or lose their jobs, too.

Parity folks!

I do agree that regular employees should get compensated too. This is a mess...

I don't even know what the OP is talking about, but I do know we shouldn't be giving $$ to folks whose employment situation hasn't changed.
