The state of California is not letting this crisis go to waste to have a socialist takeover with Gavin Newsom. The state is using this crisis to manipulate hotel owners into long-term leases of tremendous amounts of budget motels. Basically, the budget motel supply is going to plunge as the state does long-term leases of the supply.

First, regulate a vast majority of the profitable single-room occupancies out of business that gave consumers a good price where they can save money then the state of California is now taking over entire hotels and doing long-term leases on the rooms.

Basically, California is going on a leasing spree and leasing massive amounts of bargain motels so there is very little supply of low rate motels because the state has taken over the housing stock with long term leases.

Many counties in California have been buying apartments and evicting the tenants and giving them to people possibly with alcohol problems and those who are illicit drug users.

I have to ask, what are the citizens doing about this? Are they just shaking their heads and going on about their day, or threatening to vote the guy out of office next election day? LOL

The Constitution and Bill of Rights gives citizens the ability to remove their govt from power when govt does things like this, (even if by force if necessary)...however, its up to the citizens to actually take that step.

If the citizens DO NOTHING, well, govt will keep on doing what its doing. People need to put their adult pants on and remember what it means to be an American citizen.
