Do you really think everything should be outsourced to china?

Today 'small' manufacturers in the US have to go to a third party supplier in China to mass manufacture their patent (assembly is different) or be priced out of the market and go bankrupt.

That is not freedom or individualism, the two things you cherish.

What is the point of this, all great american politicians from Huey to Henry Clay have called for national economic interests to be protected and promoted.

Their 19th century policies before the gilded age and roaring 20s was what created the living standards you so conveniently enjoy rather than going the way of the Ottomans or Hungarians.

Now you mock it through some nonequivalent juxtaposition to feign political intellect.

I get you don't like Trump or Trump supporters, but they are not the first to support america first policies, and in the grand scheme of things they are irrelevant.

Do you share any scorn to the political elite of the past thirty years who never understood trade policies or supply chains or trade skills who allowed all financial capital to control the off shoring of our productive industries to China?

Just because they got a fancy degree from Harvard or Yale and go on TV and flash their smiles doesn't mean they deserve your respect.

No wonder they kicked out our journalists.

The Chinese government accepted donations in the million+ range for masks at the beginning of their pandemic graciously from others. Afterwards, they bought up much of the worlds mask supply and had the state takeover all mask producing factories. Then they banned all exports of masks. Thry have so many they require all citizens travelling outside in many areas to wear them in additon to having massive stockpiles for medical staff.

The CCP caused this pandemic by trying to coverup this virus for months by force. And now theyre only giving away crumbs here and there as "donations" to get political points abroad.

This is the most hostile, dangerous state to the entire world.
China has 1.4 billion, and if the Chinese choose to keep what they make inside their country, why are you snowflaking about> make your own masks...

Americans outsourced their own manufacturing to China. Nobody from china stuck a gun to an American head and forced him to do anything. You only have Americans to blame.

What would China be without it?

Today China's logistic and manufacturing knowledge gives them a monopoly over many 'American' products that tie our economies together.

China relies on American consumers, and in exchange borrows from our empty 'culture'.

Both countries are losing out.

To whomever just repped this post, thx! I wrote it over 2 months ago, and it's still relevant today. How does somebody find a post from 2 months ago burried so deep in the past? I wonder what you were searching for? Hatfield? Godzilla ? China? Anyways, it made my day to have someone else agree with me on these things.

Look at the trade gap charts that show us buying more of China's stuff, than they were buying of ours. Note how ~1990 was the turning point. Rather than managing a slow ramp up that protected the American work force & key industries, but still allowed some cheaper goods to come in for consumers to benefit by, the Elite's kicked the import doors wide open, & exploited it. They sold the rest of us out by allowing unlimited amounts of Chinese goods to flow in, while they took kickbacks, bribes, campaign donations, ect..

The Elites didn't even protect our strategic suppliers of key military & medical goods, so we're vulnerable. They even allowed China to buy vast amounts of real estate here, & businesses (like our largest pork producer Smithfield). China isn't allowing US firms to buy land & company's there!

Our Elites help create this monster, and now its broken loose, and is wreaking global chaos. It's like the movies Godzilla + Contagion all rolled into one. We are the "movie extra's" you see in the background getting crushed in their cars, or being stuffed into body bags.

Meanwhile, the Elites jet off to their private islands, where everything they need is ready & waiting until this all blows over. Even after the Contagion passes, they'll still have Godzilla (China) to deal with, and China will not be as easily contained as Covid-19. Trust me, the American Elites, & their global allies, are devising a plan right now on how to put the Genie (China) back into the bottle.

Wake up America! Stop China from buying real estate, and businesses here ASAP! Reverse course now, before its too late. Write every politican that reps you, and demand it. Support USA manufacturers. The USA is under economic attack from China. Resist!

Hyperbole much?
3M is an American company making masks and medical equipment and they have multiple factories in China. CCP stopped 3M from exporting medical equipment to the US a few months back.

It's actually our fault too for having factories in China when we know CCP cannot be trusted.

Trump had been right all this time to bring manufacturing back to the US.
