Like how the poor states have a major say in elections, does **** poor countries like Saudi and Russia have to dictate the oil economy?? If war is the imminent means to spend oilc and kickstart the economy , why cant it be on them instead of Iran or Siria??

THe shale companies will go bust . Trump is talking to them but no one is interested in any form of bailouts for them.

Trump already hinted today he would take action if they don't come to an agreement. Might be a tariff on oil or something of the sort.
I support this - if our domestic production got hurt bad they will then cut their production and raise prices and we become reliant on the middle east again.

The oil-war is a hidden crisis within the more obvious present crisis. Few people seem to realize, that modern America is itself a petro-state. If oil prices really crash - possibly going to zero? - it will be disastrous for a broad sector of the American economy. The only beneficiary will be countries that consume vast amounts of oil, producing little of it themselves... such as China.

Saudi Arabia and Russia are not poor, lol.

They do not dictate the oil economy, but they have a influence over it due to how much they produce, this holds true for any product in the world.

The oil war is due to differing short to mid term goals each country has. Saudi Arabia wants oil prices higher so they make more money from it, Russia wants it lower to drive US producers out of business to prevent US market share creep.
