I called an online pet meds business to renew my elderly pets' medications. my vet declined the med renewals when they called to confirm, a med for my 14 year old who can't walk without anti-inflammatory carprofen and fluoxetine anti-depressant for my crazy 9 year old dog who walks in circles for hours without this medication. he told me i must come in and have them examined before he will renew them even though i explained we are self-quarantined. my poor pets will do without their meds.

some people aren't taking this chinese virus risk seriously and it makes me very sad.
I'm appalled at both your hair stylist's blasé attitude and your vet's tone-deafness. Good grief, to they live under rocks? It appalls me that after virtually weeks of nonstop coverage there are still so many ignorant people out there. You are so right about too many people still not taking this COVID-19 virus seriously. The tone was set at the top from the beginning not to worry, it will all pass without major consequences, and it seems many still believe that.

Where I live vets are only seeing animals for emergencies. They will refill prescriptions without bringing animals in for now. All hair salons have been ordered to close.

Not true! Geesh, get updated once in a while, will you please, before spreading this misinformation?

I am updated and speaking the truth. Young people don’t need to worry as much about serious complications as older people. Risk goes up with age. That’s a fact.

Unless suicidal, one should always take precautions, but when your number is up, its up. Or did you plan to live forever?

So basically he killed himself, and then thousands of others at risk.

All touch based businesses are ordered closed here in WA. People are worried about their hair, nails, etc. Asking if they can do 1:1 sessions at home. But the providers are saying the boards would take their license and issue a large fine if they do so.

So it's getting pretty shaggy out there.

i could care less about my hair! in fact, if this quarantine lasts longer than three months it will be a good time to go gray and stop all hair color appointments forever. i do feel very sorry for these professional hair people. their livelihoods are being taken away through no fault of their own.

I am very worried about my pets' medications, however. they each have three weeks of meds left. this vet has seen both numerous times and his unwillingness to renew their medications during this crisis while we are in quarantine is unreasonable and cruel.
