Younger adults are large percentage of coronavirus hospitalizations in United States, according to new CDC data
Many younger people have been nonchalant about the COVID-19 virus because they thought it wouldn't affect them harshly. Stark new data from the United States and Europe suggests otherwise.
A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analysis of U.S. cases from Feb. 12 to March 16 released Wednesday shows 38 percent of those sick enough to be hospitalized were younger than 55.
We have a 29 year old friend that has it. She is a crossfit fanatic and very healthy. But now she has trouble breathing and is quarantined from her own husband and children.
Nobody said younger people aren't effected. The doctor who broke the news of this virus (and was threatened by the Chicoms with arrest) ended up dying from the virus, and he was only 33.
But the reality is, elderly people are more vulnerable, and more likely to have serious complications from the virus. The article doesn't deny this. It also offers explanations as to why some younger people might be effected.
For those with children, it is very good news to see that those under 20 almost never develop into critical cases.
