Maddow either doesn’t know what she is talking about ... OR ...
She is deliberately telling LIES.
Governor Abbott of Texas stopped access to all State owned nursing homes last week. He closed all of the University of Texas System early this week. Texas has 254 Counties run by County Judges and County Commissioners, he met with all of them early this week, as well as the Mayors of all the large cities in Texas. He asked all of them to follow the CDC & Task Force guidelines and work up the plans they would be following. Out of the 254 Counties, 27 of them have Covid-19 positive tests.
As of March 19, there were at least 161 coronavirus cases in Texas, including the large number of those from the quarantined cruise ships.
Texas is not a Dictatorship. After all the consultations and planning sessions ... there ARE State wide mandates. No crowd of more than 10 people. ALL restaurants, bars, gyms, schools closed. No sporting events. Al Senior living facilities went from Level 3 ( very closed access) to Level 4 (Health Emergency access only).
Since Maddow is so wrong about Texas ... I would expect she is wrong about the other States also.
poor Mao Do, when has she ever been right about anything? A very clannish group. Bent on always being wrong.
This is a pandemic the likes of which only happen about once a century. We never shut down for the ordinary flu before and we won't be in the future. This is not the flu.
Maddow is right to call out states who are lagging. Their lackadaisical approach to this virus endangers us all.
The city I live in acted independently. No better and no worse than any state.........
Instead of Maddow criticizing the elected leaders of those states that are not doing enough why isn't she chastising the college aged kids that choose to go on their Spring Break vacations with no regard for their health or that of others when they return home?

Yet again, a prog shamelessly roles out puritanical rants about something else. Meh.
I have no idea where you get puritanical rants, maybe from Dr Fauci. The governor of Oklahoma is taking the family out to dinner and leaving it up to the cities to decide for themselves. They deserve criticism.
I don't know who she is, but she apparently has some kind of following and she's feeding them lies.
Wyoming has been addressing their situation for weeks. Both officially and with what private businesses have chosen to initiate.
I'm not going to list everything. The state has info on their website, if anyone cares to go look. On this forum that will probably be the few who want to criticize a "red" state.
