People will look back to President Trumps messages before this catastrophe that has befallen us. CHINA IS NOT OUR FRIEND, AND BORDERS MATTER.... He will be re-elected in a landslide of biblical proportions....

^^^^^ Translation:

If I repeat what I said in my past post and ignore the factual timeline of Trump's lies and flip flopping that zzzSnorlax posted and bury my head in the sand then I can magically erase said lies and flip flopping that came directly out of Trump's own mouth.

For the last 3.5 years. Nothing will change except Dems are nominating a man who can barely remember his own name or where he's at.
Before all was said and done, I said, "I'll be happy voting for anyone but Biden. Buttigieg, Warren, Klobuchar, Steyers, Bloomberg, Sanders, they are all fine with me. I just don't want Biden. He looks like he's got one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel. Plus he's not there mentally." Wife said, "I don't care for him either. He's OK I guess. I'll vote for him is if he's the nominee but he's my last choice." And who do my fellow Dems go for? The worst candidate of all! And they aren't even excited about him. All they talk about is how they voted for him based on his theoretical choice for VP because his memory loss is so bad!

Democrats are desperately (like everything else) trying to have the press shape this as a "debacle"

I give Trump an A for how his administration has handled this...with all the unknown variables, they've handled this as good as it could've been handled.

I don't know where people's minds are...I don't know where they get the idea that he can order 320 million tests on demand...nor do I understand how they think that he should have locked down the country when the first person tested positive in California with "flu like symptoms" a month ago...to suggest otherwise, is just ridiculous.

Anyway, according to a recent ABC poll, 55% of Americans approve of how Trump is handling this, compared to 43% who disapprove:

In the new poll, 55% of Americans approve of the president's management of the crisis, compared to 43% who disapprove. Trump’s approval on this issue is up from last week, when the numbers were nearly reversed. Only 43% approved of Trump's handling of the pandemic and 54% disapproved in last week's poll.

Trump did not handle this properly. He dismantled the Pandemic Response Team for starters. That cost lives. Then he covered it up and lied about its severity in an attempt to save the market and improve his reelection chances. That also cost lives. He did not cause COVID-19. But he sure could have admitted it was a problem and immediately taken drastic action. So no, Trump's lies once again hurt Americans. Because all he cares about is himself. He does not even care if we die as long as he gets reelected.
