Clinton never had a surplus. If he did the debt would not have gone up. He did borrow money from Social Security to fill holes. Money that we didn't have and needs to be paid back.

They just keep believing in "Voodoo" trickle down economics as Bush Sr once termed it.

Fiscal conservatives were always a rare species and constantly being attacked or ignored by the fiscally irresponsible GOP or the laughably fiscally irresponsible Democrats.

Politicians on all sides use "free stuff" to buy votes, that's why you'll always have more fiscally irresponsible politicians than those who are fiscally responsible.

We tried to warn you but you all wanted your bank bailout in 2008. That was our last stand. Now you live in a bailout world of your own creation. They're working hard to plug the cracks, but if not, I have a window view off a main street and will watch it all go down.

Enjoy!

Along with the sober, sophisticated libertarians.

Government and Government intervention CAUSED this economic upheaval. Maybe we should not have allowed them to shut everything down and cause all this hardship?

Much better off if we worked smart instead of throwing trillions at making things worse.

Money doesn't solve these types of problems. Sorry.

Oh, wars were not declared in the constitutional fashion. Or maybe I missed it? Authorization of force...which certainly didn't mean endless occupation of the entire known world and many trillions.

Interesting that the same people telling us that a loss of money during the pandemic isn't worth the lives lost....might also think spending borrowed Trillions to make things worse is somehow sane???

If I am angry and I buy a big demolition hammer and destroy my patio it's not likely to solve the source of my anger. By the same token, declaring wars and spending trillions does not solve problems of this sort....never has and never will.

Elections have consequences. The proper response, according to most here, is to elect someone else. I never heard the response to be "give me money".

Are you folks all in reparations now? It appears so.

Reparations for Cruise lines but not for citizens...I guess.

It's your failure too. We are all Americans here, and we all share responsibility of the outcome. If that worries you, feel free to select another nation to call home.
