Its stupid to look at current cases and compare it to the current deaths and claim that this is "the death rate".

It doesnt work like that. The disease takes weeks before it leads to death. The deaths now are from the few cases weeks ago.

That's the situation all over the world, so your post is senseless.

The data I linked to make clear the mortality rates are profoundly less inside the United States, almost three months after the first cases emerged here.

Washington state looks like Europe because it coincided with a nursing home epidemic and an unanticipated shore landing there.

Really now? Have you watched his daily press conferences lately?
He hurts himself just by opening his mouth when he really should just shut up and let the health experts speak.
The virus is in 140 different countries and their media is reporting the same info as our media is but somehow only Trump and his supporters think this is some sort of evil plot to hurt him.
The amount of victim hood Trump and his supporters live in is unbelievable.
Talk about being delusional.

Absolutely not.

The mortality rate is the number of deaths from the number of cases at any given time.

You make up your own stuff which is meaningless. Only after the epidemic or when the number of new cases are low can you actually look at the mortality rate. South Korea is probably the best example here. As well as China.

It's stupid to say that lifesaving drugs should not be used if they are lethal at 2 gram doses... But you've said it, among many other gems. I wouldn't take medical advice from you if you were the last person on earth.

The data for the mortality rates are right there in the JHU arcgis. All you have to do is click on each red dot and then figure out how to divide the number of deaths by the number of infected.

Right, deaths vs recovered is problematic at this point in time. But deaths vs active is even more meaningless.
