The Victoria flu this winter was especially bad and attacked the young and healthy in particular yet the media rarely even mentioned it. I heard a story or two on it but that was it.

This years influenza outbreak was terrible. They never mention how the particularly deadly Victoria flu hit and it targets the young and children especially. 144 children died of the Victoria or H1N1 flu.

Just like any other virus, the numbers are about to skyrocket with this coronavirus and there will be all out hysteria.

Socially and economically America will be on the verge of collapse after this fiasco.

This current scare isn't about the virus.

It's something entirely different.......It's an excuse, for starters.

There is a vaccine for Victoria Flu. Usually free. Takes 2 weeks or so to become fully effective. If you didn't get one, maybe you should.

There is no COVID-19 vaccine. And there is no cure. Either your immune system can carry you through or it can not.

To grab power. Possibly take away rights. Restrict freedom. That's what governments tend to do. Especially when they get really, really big and need to be fed more.

This has been played out to death ad nauseum.
We can keep naming all the previous plagues and epidemics that sickened and/or killed scores of people with little hubub or fanfare and it doesn't matter. Corona is THE thing, no getting out of it now. Let the world governments have their fun with it until they get bored and hand out the "cure" and move on to the next thing. We're in it now, just gotta play along with the game for now.

If you allow the government to take from you once, it won't be just that one time. They will be back again, and again, to chip away more rights and freedoms. And we will have no one to blame but ourselves for letting them violate the principles upon which this nation was founded upon, including small and limited government.

A lot of people died defending our freedoms and preserving the principles upon which this nation was founded upon. Up till this point, everyone has said it was worth it. Yes, you can put a price on freedom, in human lives sacrificed, because we've done it before and we will do it again. That's part of being a freedom loving American/patriot. And sometimes, patriots are sacrificed to defend and preserve our freedom.

I do not think it is right for everyone to be forced to part ways with freedom and inalienable rights over a new virus that kills perhaps 1% of those who get it. For some things, like an all out war, it would be acceptable. But this is definitely not that. This is a highly contagious virus with a lot of extra hype, which is creating more chaos than the virus itself.

People are sheep. They are hooked like crackheads to the media. Media says crisis and the people go "uh oh crisis". Then some other jackass starts a panic over toilet paper and it's all downhill from there. The media rubs their hands together like an old school movie villain saying "we got 'em". Hooked. And here we are.
And we'll be here again, and again.

My family all got the flu shot in November. Still got the flu in February. Everyone else I know who got the flu also had a flu shot. 2 kids i know were in the hospital for days due to the flu. Point is, the flu shot did absolutely nothing for us this year. I’ll still get it next year but it’s pretty useless.
