Sure, you prefer socialism.

I say no thanks

The pseudo conservative Trump loyalists will support or oppose anything they are told to support or oppose. Now they support a socialist approach, just because Trump supports it.

Agreed. Since warehouse workers are working overtime and they are hiring additional temporary workers to support demand, it shouldn't be a problem. Still, the shelves are empty.

No thanks, I'll prioritize Americans first.
That's exactly my point. Trump increased foreign worker visas. He's not putting Americans first.

The problem is also the "just in time" inventory system, so that if you have any sort of disruption it causes a chain reaction so there's never an excess supply of anything. US companies do it this way more than some other countries like China. 3M made a company wide inventory reduction after earnings last year that left us down for awhile, and they were shutting down our machine in November when we were all telling them not to do it...

Trump was right. Domestic manufacturing > globalism. Move supply chain home

But didn't apply to his and his family's little ventures in China, eh?

It sounds like you are one of those evil socialist Democrats that wants to tell businesses what to do.

Trump has severely curtailed some foreign worker visas, or put enormous pressure on doing so where there was no motivation before.

So don't mandate it.

Just make it worth their while to come home and more expensive to continue off shoring.
