I've said this before, but I'll say it again: I think we should quarantine those at risk (by quarantine I mean stay at home), which would be the elderly and those who have serious medical conditions. The rest of the population should return to work. From what I've read, 99.2% of those who have died in Italy had another serious underlying condition, meaning that those without any risk factors face the same mortality rate as they face every winter during flu season, and we don't destroy the nation's economy over that.
People who are advocating for a national lockdown (mostly liberals) are denying the ultimate costs of a destroyed economy: rip-roaring poverty rates, which themselves carry a higher risk of disease and death.
You don't seem to understand that the non-elderly are disease vectors and are also getting infected and dying as well. A great majority of the elderly and those with serious medical conditions are already staying at home. Maybe the young people on the beaches are the ones that need to be addressed instead.

Both Trump, Obama and the Bush administrations are all to blame for this. They bend over backwards for their corporate donors/buddies who lobby them to allow laws to be passed to push trade agreements with a country that has clearly shown to be an enemy of the Western world.

Before than, I even remember reading articles from some lame stream media sources claiming the virus could actually be GOOD for the stock market and the economy! The lame stream media did a particularly awful and terrible job delivering the facts in a timely manner. Media giants like CNN work and take orders from the Chicoms, so it's no surprise.
