With the onset of GrubHub, Doordash, Uber Eats, ect... why do people continue to order pizza? Almost all restaurants are delivering now, so why limit yourself to pizza? Especially crappy pizza?
My experience is that most take out with the uber etc. pretty much sucks...because a lot of the pull of restaurants is hot and fresh. Many of these delivery services take a while since they tend to load up multiple deliveries. Your burrito will be water-logged, etc. etc.
But to each their own.
I even like my Pizza straight from the oven so I would be lying if I said we got that delivered.

No kidding.
A delivered pizza still has a chance to taste like a pizza when it finally arrives.
Come to think of it that is probably why pizza was basically the only thing that anybody delivered for 50 years before we finally got too lazy to go through drive throughs.

We live about 12 miles outside of the city and Grub Hub delivers to us for a $6 delivery charge and the food has always been hot and fresh and we've tried this with multiple restaurants in the Eugene area. I was skeptical at first as well, but we now love knowing it is an option. Definitely eases things up after a long day at work. With the amount of options out there, pizza is a thing of the past for us.
Obviously, we don't get Taco Bell, KFC, or other fast garbage. I'm talking higher quality places. One of our favorite Dim Sum restaurants uses the service.

I agree, I haven't had good experiences with uber eats. Not to mention, their delivery drivers probably fare worse than domino's. I know someone who does doordash on the side for extra money, it basically amounts to about $8 an hour when all is said and done. It's sad that these are the options for people. I know far too many people that are basically dependent upon the gig economy.
I agree, I love to cook my own pizza with all the ingredients from the grocery store. Nothing like it.
