No! No! No! I ABSOLUTELY REJECT your partisan framing of what is going on inCongress!

On beyond your purely partisan take on the current state of negotiations occurring between the Senate & the House, would it have hurt you to actually explain what the differences were so that we could better understand what is going on in the process of negotiation between what the House has offered and what the Senate is offering?

Each House of Congress works up and passes their own version of a bill. Then negotiations go on between the 2 Houses so as to work up a compromise bill that can pass both Houses and then be singed into law by the President.

You may recall that recently it took the Senate several days, including over all of last weekend, to finally pass their own version of a coronavirus relief bill. And furthermore, you may recall that Senator Rand Paul single-handedly held up that bill in the Senate by attaching an amendment to their bill that had nothing to do with coronavirus relief package! The height of irony of that foolish move by Senator Paul is that he now has been diagnosed as having the coronavirus!

Here's the kicker,

The Trillion or Two, bailout worked out by Trump and McConnell with republican support gives a handout to families BUT...… the big BUT...…..creates a 500 billion slush fund controlled entirely by Trump to distribute to anyone he chooses to give it to, without congressional oversight.
Dems are apoplectic because if they refuse to pass this slush fund for Trump he will accuse them of not helping the nation in a time of crisis.

What does anybody think Trump's going to do with total control of all this money???

Yep, I think exactly the same.

Exactly. The Democrats make the situation far worse than it would have otherwise been by spreading panic and fear as much as possible, and then the same Democrats refuse to work in a bipartisan fashion to help the people they screwed over.

Well, the people hit hardest by this are working Americans who aren't dependent on the government. So, it's understandable why the Democrats aren't interested in helping that constituency--it votes Republican.

Trump/GOP's version of bipartisan--give me a slush fund of $500 billion to do whatever I want with.

Yeah, no. Just no. The Democrats need to hold the line on this.

Let me give you a lesson on government. The Democrats only control the House of Representatives. If they continue to refuse to work across the aisle, there will never be a coronavirus stimulus passed and signed.

So, it is 100% accurate to say that the Democrats are opposed to sending relief to the American people.

Or the Kremlin - Democrats have been doing Putin's bidding for 3+ years with the sham impeachment investigations.

Sorry, but I would not trust this president to responsibly have his hands in a $500 billion slush fund. We saw what he did with money donated to his charity. Nope, not with our money. Nope.

So in your mind are the democrats responsible for the "fear and panic" all over the rest of the world?

If you haven't noticed, many other countries are using similar strategies to combat the virus that are like those here in the USA.

And as somebody pointed out, the House had their deal done while the senate was still on vacation. Why didn't the senate just come back and rubber stamp the house bill?
