fine with me, Trump will speak soon, he can let America know why they get no help.
Will he tell us the truth? That unless we hand over a half a trillion dollars to him he won't help Americans? Because that's exactly what it comes down to. Let me plunder the treasury or you all can go to hell.
In short, the Democrats have accused Republicans of crafting a package that leans too heavily toward bailing out corporations without providing enough assistance for small businesses, workers and working-class families suffering the fallout of the deadly virus.
So you would rather them bail out the large corporations?
The leadership failures of the Democrat Party are truly astounding.
In the package is a huge bailout for corporations, with zero oversight. Guess what's going to happen all over again. How about we don't go down this road again. The DNC is crafting their own bill, as we speak.
I've just read that Senator Schumer & other Senate Democrats are specifically warning that the Republican Senate version of the bill places far too much emphasis on relief for big business while offering far too little relief for individuals & small business.
A further sticking point for Democrats is said to be with the fact that what the Republicans are offering gives little room for Congressional oversight in terms of the way that the money is actually spent. Republicans would apparently give Treasury Secretary Mnuchun a largely free hand to make key decisions on the direction of where the money would flow as well as how much would be involved.
Schumer & Elizabeth Warren warn that the $500 billion in that aspect of the Republican relief bill would in effect be beyond the reach of Congress's powers of oversight.
Then pass something now and then go to work on a another bill that is only about relieving laid off workers and small business.
Actually, Democrats are trying to get more relief to the working poor, like yourself, opposing Republican efforts to give away more corporate welfare.
I would venture that both sides are jockeying for money for their special interest groups. If the working stiff benefits that is just a coincidence.
