Netherland failed with their Herd trial and now are out of hospital rooms - luckily Germany is helping them out and accepting Patients. A LONG way from the US mentality of trying to keep others out.
But, anyway, it's factual that herd exposure is not the right initial response as Netherlands has 10X the mortality from those as Germany. They also have less testing as a result (why test if you are gonna infect the herd?).....
The slight piece of good news starting to emerge is this. The case count is predicted to be VASTLY higher than measured, but in a sense among healthy populations this is a benefit as it will lower the mortality rate. That is, it is starting to be assumed that many have gotten it and got over it without being tested. This will be confirmed eventually but does appear to be the case.
Still - hard to get over the fact that some public health officials are telling us that 200K dead is coming. Sadly, I believe it.
Florida and GA and NO and many others places have weak populations....so the "get it and didn't know" is likely not to be the case.

No, I am not suggesting that people got it at the Rally! I am saying that it was evident to many that this was not a good idea since we wanted to AVOID that. Big difference.
If they continued having rallies then likely more people at them would have been coming back from Spring Vacation, Cruises, etc. and THEN the spread would occur.
The whole idea here is to be preventative.
The Point is - if the POTUS is saying it's a nothing-burger up until March 10 or even after, that influences the behavior of many....even up until today. Many people, believe it or not, don't update their world view based on daily advice. Someone who listened to and watched Hate or State TV for 3 weeks of BS and listened to Trump has their POV pretty firmly set....and they are unlikely to have a "come to the Lord" moment because things were finally said 1/2 truthfully 2 days back.

There is a lot of sunshine in Arizona. Some people say UV light kills the virus. But I suppose that only applies to surfaces, not to humans where the virus is hidden deep inside the body, more or less shielded from UV light. Unless of course the UV light triggers certain defense mechanisms in the body.

Been in the 80s in Florida since Day one...and maybe it helped compared to what "would have been" - no way to really know since we don't know yet "what is".
But I suspect we will see a doubling every 4 days now...which surely isn't a good thing.
We have pulled ahead of WA state in cases, which is amazing considering the head start they had.
