Because closing a polling place means those mail ins can't be mailed to and counted elsewhere? Do you know how dumb this sounds?

I really like our state's mail-in-ballot system. It allows you to take your time and think about how you are voting. To claim it is going to collapse the Republic is ludicrous. What he's really scared of is more Democratic party votes. Possibly he's right about that.

As I said, if you're worried about your ballot being secret, don't vote absentee or by mail.

The fact that you think it "shouldn't" be allowed is irrelevant. There are mechanisms for secret ballots, there are mechanisms for absentee voting. Choose which one you prefer to use.

No, mail-in voting mitigates the impact of closing polling stations. Just like he said. Perhaps you should read a little more carefully before calling others dumb.

Colorado has mail in elections. Seems to work. This year, mail in ballots make a lot of sense.

Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and California all allow voting by mail and have had no issues. In fact turnout has increased since it's been allowed. Unless he's saying he prefers lower turnout and discouragement of voting by reducing the opportunity of the people to vote?
They understand that if more people voted, it would make it more difficult, if not impossible, for them to win. Low voter turnout benefits them.
