The virus can't live on cooked food- the temps are too high, and they kill the virus.

Are they just scooping it directly into your mouth at the drive-through?

I had started a response to that post, but abandoned it when I realized it'd be falling on deaf ears.

It's surprising how many people don't understand the lengths you'd have to go to in order to have food prepared and delivered in a truly safe way.

So yeah, that pizza is probably safe to eat, but who knows what happened with the box it's in, or if anything rubbed off on an edge of crust that had cooled, or if the seasoning packet you just picked up was contaminated, etc.

It's kind of scary to see people reacting so nonchalantly to this thing. Even as it advances and we learn more about how contagious it really is, people are still blind to the realities of how easily they can get it.

Was that supposed to be an excuse for your stereotyping of someone? Or just an excuse for why your stereotype was wrong?

Not all food is cooked, such as salad, coleslaw.

What if the food container or wrapper has the virus on it from the food service worker which touched the container or wrapper ?

Ditto for ketchup and condiment packs.

How about cooked food that was contaminated after cooking For example, french fries sitting under the lamp for 5 minutes after coming out of the fryer. Maybe someone sneezes and contaminates the fries. They aren't that hot after sitting under the lamp.

life by its nature is inherently unsafe. You could live your life in a bubble but watch out for pointy things.

I very rarely eat takeout but I completely stopped a few weeks ago. There is a fabulous Italian deli nearby that prepares entrees and sides from fresh Whole Foods without the excess sodium that is common in fast food and takeout. They also have an amazing meat counter which I took full advantage of to stock my freezer. I do trust this business as they do catering as well. Since we are all pretty much at home there isn’t much reason to get takeout.

You're really into stereotyping people. Are you a racist too?
