It's like a multi-trillion dollar bailout every year.

We should let anyone go out of business. That’s capitalism. The only exception should be if the government forces you to shut down.

How many people in this thread will complain in a couple of years when they can no longer take a cruise? When these cheap vacations are gone more will flock to Florida or myrtle beach and then even a trip to the beach will be unaffordable.

There are consequences for everything, ALOT of Americans depend on cruises for their vacations. I believe they are no different than any other hospitality companies and they are entitled to the same bailout hotels, restaurants and resorts are going to get. Much of this economic crash is a result of government overreaction to a virus. Government owes the people and enterprises damages for what they have done. After all it is government who locked down everything......you break it you buy it.

I’m not one for government handouts normally but they are responsible for making right what they screwed up here.

I have to agree, but Australia has a good system. It works for them.

So for this to be the governments fault, logically, that means that you think people should be taking cruises right now?

Thus stimulus package should be for 99% of us, and small business. Not carpets for the the cruise industry and the Kennedy Center.

What say you? Do you, assuming you are an American taxpayer, wish to bailout and guarantee the existence of Luxury Cruise Lines?

One point - assuming they default, taxpayers will not own an asset like an airliner design and production facility (boeing). They will own 100's of thousands of tons of sheet metal which requires expensive upkeep.

For you globalist cruise lines bring business into other countries. It would certainly hurt Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands

I was on a cruise once as a child. "Natives" dove for quarters we threw over.

I think we can come up with better for the Islanders.
