Could that be because the LSM (lame-stream media) is working double-time to report (and exaggerate or lie) on Trump's missteps and ignore entirely the very excellent job he has done in leading us through this crisis? The better a handle we get on this virus (and there are some good signs coming out), the more the liberal media starts condemning Trump. It's gotten so bad that one liberal medium (the WaPo), realizing how well Trump was doing at the press conferences, called for them not to be covered. Imagine, brilliant scientists like Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birz being very transparent with the American people - and the WaPo wants to silence them.

If you really believe that you are in a bubble. Fauci has to contradict Trump everytime he's up there. Those other world leaders have as critical of a press as in the U.S. it just doesn't stick to them because at least they behave like true leaders. Not like a petty little five year old that trashes this country's Govenors in a time of crisis.

You just proved the point. As more and more positive news comes out, the more liberals will complain about Trump and point out any misstep, while ignoring the many smart moves he has made. And NO - we have NEVER seen a press so downright hateful of an American president than we have with Trump. I've spoken with some liberals who are CLUELESS about what Trump has done right - including halting the Chinese flights when Biden was crying about xenophobia. And why? Because they watch CNN and MSNBC.

And I’ve never seen so many people donning knee pads to worship their dear leader. It would be more amusing if it wasn’t so pathetic.

Trump was nothing more than a bystander when this thing hit....it wasn't until Professional and College Sports cancelled seasons, large corporations cancelled events and Govenors placed restrictions on their states that Trump even acknowledged it was a problem and then declared a National Emergency...he had to because the people already did it for him. Now he is being petty by threatening states he will withhold emergency funds because they haven't told him how great he is. The guy is a moron at a time when we need real leadership. Soak this in

You're going to the liberal extreme. NOBODY is donning knee pads to worship Trump. We are, however, not searching around SOLELY for things to criticize him for while ignoring how well he is doing under exceedingly difficult conditions.

(No need to call people pathetic just because they don't despise Trump.)

In such dark times, I do always find the usage of the royal “we” amusing, at least.

Absolutely false. It’s a phony, twisted leftist talking point that holds no more legitimacy than the Russia collusion fraud. The actual truth is, for those whose attention span and memory is greater than 15 minutes can and should remember that when Trump first announced his plan for suspending air travel between the US and China, ALL of the liberal left began whining and moaning and accusing him of being a racist xenophobe ... and of course, the World Health Organization suggested such a drastic action was not warranted.... in retrospect, that action was not only wise, but surely prevented far greater infection (and death) numbers than what is now occurring.

Furthermore, it was early last month when the DEMOCRAT Commissioner of public health in New York (ON RECORD) urged the public to go about their daily lives .... don’t worry .... ride the subway ... go out to eat ... go to the Park ... live your life and don’t be afraid, because person to person transmission of the virus had not been definitively established!!! Now look at the disaster in New York! By far, the hot spot in the nation. Frankly, all of the most impacted cities .... New York, Seattle, New Orleans .... and the list goes on .... ALL OF THEM run by Democrats.

Of course, the irrational followers of the Democrat scumbags refuse to see reality .... like watching Pelosi turn this crisis into another political game, as she intervened in the Senate Relief bill, attempting to add in a laundry list of unrelated democrat agenda items, delaying the passage that the Senate voted unanimously to approve ... not one Republican or Democrat voted against. Even some democrats were disgusted by her placing politics ahead of the public welfare .... but the ivory tower democrats in Pelosi’s district back in the People’s Republic of California would surely have her serve another 30 years is she could live that long. Stupidity doesn’t begin to describe the mentality of people who keep voting for clowns like Pelosi, Waters, Shumer, Biden, and Pocahontas ..... I won’t even try to analyze the mental state of those who applaud lunatics like AOC and the “squad”. My head might explode.

That’s the reality.

Oh yes, almost forgot ..... let’s point out another GLARING REALITY .... as nations all over the world QUICKLY move to close their borders in an attempt to contain or slow down the virus spread .... just imagine this vision of a democrat utopia where there are no US borders, and no means to control or stop the flow of foreign nationals into the US ...... for delusional democrats, a Utopia indeed .... for rational people, dystopia guaranteed.

That's right, censor yourself. That is the best way to deal with cognitive dissonance.

"Trump is utterly unsuited to deal with this crisis, either intellectually or temperamentally"

"For his entire adult life and for his entire presidency, Donald Trump has created his own alternate reality, complete with his own alternate set of facts."

Wow, the article hits the ground running. Exactly what we have all been observing about the miscreant for the last few decades ...

"The qualities we most need in a president during this crisis are calmness, wisdom, and reassurance; a command of the facts and the ability to communicate them well; and the capacity to think about the medium and long term while carefully weighing competing options and conflicting needs. We need a leader who can persuade the public to act in ways that are difficult but necessary, who can focus like a laser beam on a problem for a sustained period of time, and who will listen to—and, when necessary, defer to—experts who know far more than he does. We need a president who can draw the nation together rather than drive it apart, who excels at the intricate work of governing, and who works well with elected officials at every level. We need a chief executive whose judgment is not just sound, but exceptional."

Trump is not the guy.

My post is entirely correct. Trump made nothing more than a travel ban from China 11 days after the first case was discovered. He literally wanted to take no action whatsoever, and claimed it was going to disappear, AND he claimed that he was doing a great job!

Almost 106,000 cases in the USA today. 1,730 of our fellows have died since Trump said "just 15 cases, and all getting better". "We are doing a great job!"

Korea on the other hand (based on the equivalent discovery of one case) had already commenced testing, and was finding evidence that it was already in the population! All this while Dear Leader was claiming we had nothing to worry about, as the virus was seeping through our communities. He sat on his hands for 11 critical days, and kept lying about the dangers for more than an additional month.

Today? We have more recorded cases than any other country in the modern world (with the possible exception of China). Any other country.

This is the same conclusion a Trump supporter should come to, because it is based upon the facts.

Ignorance of the facts is understandable at times, but to be willfully ignorant is not.

The poster to whom you are responding is a beginner. Someone I knew called me a racist and a sexist because I didn't despise Trump enough to suit her, thus ending a thirty year acquaintance. So what.
